Milkwood House, Meridian Bay, The Marina,Swansea.
It’s very close to the sea, brand spanking new, located in Swansea’s coolest new Quarter (in between the marina and the beach). Has 1 double and 1 twin bedroom but can sleep 6 (that’s if you want to use the leather sofa bed in the living room!). We have everything you expect, the usual trimmings in places like this (Egyptian cotton this & that etc,), but it also has some Welsh things too. Some of our cushions for instance, made from our sheep and spun in a Mill called MelinTregwynt. That means mill of windy place I think, I need to brush up on my Welsh. But at least our wool is up to scratch.
We also have a very nice, large and very flat HD TV, a DVD player and Xbox too if you want. We even have an iPod docking speaker (your iPod is not included though). Fluffy towels, shiny sheets and duvets, cracking crockery (that doesn’t crack), lovely leather beds, chairs, and an unusual corner sofa unit which is the fastest sofa in the world to change into a bed (my son holds the record at the moment – 4.5 seconds!). He’s not that clever though, he got lost in our walk-in wardrobe and cant work the dishwasher in Milkwood yet, but we’re working on that.
Because Milkwood is new, it’s one of the few places in Swansea that doesn’t claim that Dylan Thomas stayed there or drank there, so we decided to name the place after his most famous work instead. Why not, everyone in Swansea claims to have some connection with Dylan, just don’t believe them if they tell you.
